I recently picked up a cheap grease gun as a spare for my tractor. It is a good thing that I know how to use one. After reading the instructions that came with the Chinese made gun, I'm not even sure it applies to what I bought. Anyone seen a worse translation?

That's pretty bad. Another good one is trying to read HP/Agilent manuals for 41xx series semiconductor parametric analysers. They did not translate very well, which is really bad for a complex piece of test and measurement equipment. They are excellent machines, but the manuals, well...

As an enginner who spent many years analyzing Japanese consumer products before they became legit, we had a name for that type of english. We called it Japlish. This one is too funny!!!

Oh, I've always wondered why my grease gun would occassionally malfunction. ". . .it could be because Rubber Plunger transfigure and contract by squeezed long time which in inside of grease cartridge, and by soak of grease a certain point." Now I know!:D

Now if I only knew what it said maybe I could fix it!

That is way too funny.

Just make sure you get the normal phenomenom and use it incessantly :D :D

I've had to work off of Japanese, Chinese, Korean and even Swedish translated manuals and I just know that they are all laughing at us :D

RobertN,

Never mind the manual, I don't know what you just said here.

My first reaction was to chuckle, and then I began to wonder how well any of us would do trying to sell a product in China? Would we ask them to "bite the wax tadpole" (as Coke did)? We buy their products... how many are we selling?
Back to the tractor...
