I think you'll be a long time getting that task done with a tooth bar, unless the soil is really soft and boulder free. You also can easily damage your loader if you over do it. Remember your FEL is a LOADER, NOT a bulldozer, NOT a digger.
Not to say I don't like my toothbar. It's very handy. But, I've tried using it as you plan to. It's not the best, at least not on my 4500 lb tractor. Unless really loamy soft, the toothbar mostlly just scratches at the surface.
This is where Loader Buddy is very different than a tooth-bar. The extended roll forward angle coupled with the
tines centered between the loader arms, first of all give it an advantage in its point of attack AND because the stress is not outside the plane of the loader arms, any potential damage is reduced significantly. This truly is a tool you can use both forward and in reverse with great visibility. There is nothing like actually seeing what you are trying to get out of the ground. Most digging prowess is first affected by the weight of your tractor, second by HP and gear selection and third by operator experience. The combined attributes of Loader Buddy actually enhance the first two factors and are enhanced by the latter for a win/win combination that is hard to beat.
