Hi there,
I'm borrowing a "Super Gill" overseeder from a friend to spread some seed on my hayfields. The frame is a model SU-900 and the seeder unit is a SU-770.
The manuals for the Woods models are close, but it seems like they went away from the two compartment seedbox that's on this unit.
It seems like the rear seedbox is for fertilizer and the front for the grass seed maybe?
I have two lots of seed (that I got last year) that I'm wanting to use up. Most of it is small round seed (timothy, clovers, as I recall) and then there's some larger stuff (that I forget what they were and the tag is MIA). My friend who just got this unit thought that you should be able to use the unit to do both sizes at once. I'm not so sure and would like to have it "right" before I risk my seed. Most of the settings on the decal inside the lid seem to indicate much heavier seeding that what I'd like to do.
Last year I broadcast with a rotary seeder on the back of the Treker, but I'm sure this unit will do a much better job if I get it set right.
Thanks in advance.
cheers,
Andrew
