I am considering a 7845C or an 8050. Most all info on the net is old so I'm interesting in hearing from anyone who owns a branson in general but even more so if its one of the two models I'm looking at.

I'm looking for praise and grips. If you own one would you ever buy another one. If you had one and sold it, etc.

Hi, I'm very near you in College Grove. Bought a new Branson recently but probably very different from the size your looking at. I've been very pleased and zero issues to date. 50 Hour Service soon so we'll see if I missed something!
Are you buying new or used?

Welcome! I have 200 hours on mine and have had nearly zero issues. Mine works hard all day without a complaint. You might consider posting in the Branson sub-forum. All in all, I would buy a Branson again. Lots of tractor for the money.

I too have a much smaller model that what you're looking at, so can only give "general" Branson comments. I'm very happy with mine, it's done everything I've asked it for. I've had mine for just over a year, and have about 110 hrs on it so far. No problems or defects of any kind in that time frame, other than my factory battery (Interstate wet cell battery) died in the first winter. It gets pretty cold here, -40 F is frequently possible with no wind chill. That is really hard on batteries. It now has an Optima AGM battery in it, and is trucking along just fine. Other than that, not one single mechanical issue has come up.

My 3725 is cabbed, and I love the AC and the heat. Can be totally comfortable either pushing snow in winter (it's primary purpose), or brush hogging in summer (it's secondary purpose). It is one of the heavier units in it's class, has better FEL and 3pt lift stats than most other brands in the same class, and comes "standard" with some nice features that the other brands make you pay extra for. I had my rear tires filled with Rimguard, and with the FEL on the front, and a box blade on the back, my tractor scales at 7100 pounds on a CAT scale. That's some real useful weight right there. I can and have moved and fed large round bales with just the box blade on back for counterweight.

Come on down to the Branson forums and ask there too. I know there are some guys that have the model tractors you're looking at, they may miss your question up here.

I am buying new. Despite my Columbia Mailing address I'm just of Kedron.

I did not post in the sub-forum because I figured that anyone who had gotten rid of there's would not are checking post in it.

General feedback as mine is small: I've had my 3520h for a year and 85hrs so far. I love it and kick myself that I didn't get a tractor when I first wanted one moving here 20 years ago. I've had no issues so far; tractor is really solid and strong and as far as I can tell it's quite well put together.

OK, I have an 8050, you say you are buying new, check the build date on a 8050 I know that branson still listed it on their website the last time I looked however I think that you will find that 2015 or 2016 was the last year built and brought into this country. Branson says that there is no service manual available for this tractor. It has been a decent tractor for me, it has had a few issues, my dealer has been decent.
If you go to the Branson forum I have posted a few times about issues with mine.
When I bought mine I compared the 7845 and the 8050, the 7845 was a 1000 pounds lighter with the same engine, the 7845 has more transmission gears and 3 speeds for the pto and weights a lot less the castings on the 8050 are much beefier and the front axle has a planetary reduction which I prefer to the spur and bevel on the others.
The 8050 loader is self leveling which has it plus's and minus's. The "clutch" on the 8050 and I am pretty sure on the 7845 is not a dry clutch, they have multi disk wet clutches one pack for forward and another set for reverse, the tractor does not need to have the clutch pedal used to move, you can just move the shuttle to forward or reverse and the tractor will modulate the clutch pack for you, that is what the power shuttle does. It can be jerky and hard to modulate trying to back up to hookup to the drawbar or 3 pt. also attaching to the loader ssqa as it is difficult to gently ease it an inch or two. The 8050 comes with the euro style hook lift arms which is a type of quick hitch for the lift arms, it handy.
The rear remotes do not have a float position, one does have detents for continuous operations. The cab is decent sized, I have bounced my head off the ceiling a couple of times.

You're closer than I thought! I'm near Flat Creek and Giles Hill. I'll be home all day tomorrow if you want to see/drive mine. Who are you planning on buying from, if you don't mind my asking. only two dealers that I know of in the area. You can PM me if you want.
