Seven pages of wasted time, I wish I only had to worry about such trivial things. Wash it and move on life is to short!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boss had special ordered a Corvette a few years back and it arrived on a Thursday...

Dealer set up delivery for Monday and the boss arrived found it had 330 miles on it.

One of the salesmen took his girlfriend for a Highway 1 get away.

Boss was livid and said he expected a new car and had the Dealership put it in writing... problem was it was too late in the year to re-order.

After a lot of back and forth... the Dealer paid for the best GM extended warranty and free oil changes for life...

The salesman that took the car was terminated...

I guess it all depends on if you are willing to walk and it not... what would it take to make it right?

Most of the Kubotas I see leaving the distribution center here in California are leaving in crates...

I'm not sure I agree with LLS's observation... salt forced into electrical connections, pins, and places that you don't easily wash can come back to bite your arse down the road. The OP isn't getting what he bought, so something needs to be done to make it right. Still waiting to learn what the outcome will be...

Just met with the salesman and we both had a look at the tractor.Maybe because my expectations weren't as high but the corrosion didn't look as bad.He pretty much told me what he thought I wanted to here other than he is not willing to put anything in writing about future problems. He says all tractors come in like that this time of year and after it is prepared it will look like a new machine.Because they are so busy it will be the middle of next week before that happens. When it is ready he will call me to have a look at it.I will make a decision then.

I dont know if other tractors are different, but the electrical connections are no different on my tractor than they are on my cars/trucks, which get frequent 70mph salt baths

One of the things you see on many message boards (not just kubota or tbn) . . . is some use a logic that is based on a similar incident with a dissimilar item.

As an example . . Someone might say "Ive hauled my car on an open car hauler and it didn't ever hurt it. If my car got dirty then I wash and its good to go.

But think of all the issues that logic doesn't support. That statement doesn't say salt or rocks thrown up. That statement doesn't say cars are built for 70 mph road wash while tractors are built for 5 to 12 mph farm dirt wash.

Guaranteed that spraying a hose in a window well doesn't saturate the entire engine compartment of a car . . But on a tractor it gets water saturation into every nook and cranny of a tractor. Just a real simple example that anyone has seen . . A car or truck has their fuse box covered and often its in the vehicle cabin. Guess where fuses and electrical connections are in a tractor :)

Water oxidation and salt and acid corrosive action cause false or intermittent grounding. They create resistance to flow in sensors and electrical contacts.

Now the degree of effect is based on several things . . but for anyone to say "its a tool just use it" . . . funny . . I don't see many people leave their wrenches and power tools sitting outside. Why . . its just a tool . . . right . . Yep . . . but its "their tool" and they don't want their tools rusty and sticking.

Often people have a different opinion for their own things than they do for others :)

Ive never seen water on the top of any of my vehicle batteries unless I left the hood up - - even in a car wash . . but I have on my lawn tractors etc.. My last 8 vehicles had their fuse boxes in the cabin . . . and many tractors don't even have a cab.

I've never seen a tractor that went 75mph . . . I've never seen a vehicle that didn't.

I've seen lots of inline fuses in tractors . . the only inline fuses I've seen in vehicles are in the cabin behind the dash.

I've seen lots of aluminum and low cost spade connectors on tractors . . on veicles any spade connectors I see are either in the cabin or are classified "fine wire" connectors (gold, silver, brass, or high percentage copper).

How many crimpons do you see in a tractor ?? Do you see those in your car or truck?

Going back to my vehicles made since 1995 they were all galvanized and dipped body panels. Are tractors?

I'm not trying to be a wise guy . . I'm trying to point out logical vs non-logical thinking.

Sorry... I couldn't resist posting pictures of cars I transported...

The red Model T and Bantam came from the East Coast and I paid extra for inside top deck carriage... just didn't want to even deal with road and weather issues.

None have tops so everything is totally exposed.
