Hardly a miss........

Most people are clueless about what drives oil prices. Put your money where your mouth is.....how much do you want to bet gas will be $6.00 a gallon next spring? I’ll take that bet. Do you have a Paypal account to transfer the money? COVID-19 and it’s associated lockdowns should be raging next spring, further reducing demand for oil. COVID, combined with the fact Trump was in the pockets of Russian and Saudi governments and did nothing meaningful to curb their price reducing over-productions, is why we saw negative price per barrel numbers last spring. So, if you want to give Trump credit for your low gas prices, it’s because of his scatted brain foreign policy and COVID measures.

Let’s revisit this post come Spring of 2021 to illustrate how wrong you were.

Not six yet. You clearly have a passion, but, it would be hard to ignore the impact of killing keystone, killing fracking, and the new green deal.

Politics are divisive, and many people want the government to help us get off of fossil fuels. That said, life would be better if we owned our objectives and motives.

Best,

Swing and a miss ...
Yeah that was an exaggeration for sure, but diesel at $3.65 sucks.

Some folks seem to like it,,,,, almost cant hardly wait until everything, including the shipping or their precious Amazon packages goes up.

Everything is so weird now.

Yes it is. I just had a discussion with a few folks at work. Right now we are all remote, so we are hardly using any fuel, but are using more electricity being at home. The workplace wants us back first week in August. Problem is, electricity for me is much cheaper than me driving my 20 minutes one way to work. Especially down the line as fuel prices rise. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the drive in, but when it comes down to dollars and cents, I've realized over the past year that the 40 minutes that I sit in my truck each day burning fuel to go to work to do the same thing I do at home is stupid. Not to mention the extra time I can spend with family and taking care of other things is huge!

Also, with the states wanting to mandate electric car sales in the next few years, folk's houses are not even wired up to accept charging of an electric car (at a decent rate of charge).

To me, diesel is still the best fuel and energy source. Gasoline, even not much so. Folks have this huge stigmatism against diesel it's not funny anymore.

Yes it was exaggerated. But - had he invested in oil stocks based on that assumption (which he should have done) he’d still be wrong all the way to the bank! Then he’d be happy.
