i agree with you on the winch it's like a good credit card you never wanna leave home without it.the best part about havin the winch is it makes you more likely to try anything.lol i have a 50' cable on my winch and i carry over 250' of ropes plus two jacks and two little compressors and a few packs of plugs. i have two of everything .lol. i even have two charging systems the stock one and the one i setup both are wired together with a isolator switch seperating them running to each thier own battery.i am a firm believer in havin a backup for everything.
Well, I did it. I "pulled the trigger" on a 2007 Kawasaki 610 4x4, green and black. It was in my price range (rather the wife's price range, haha) and will do everything I (we) need it to do. I've read great things on it, a lot of bang for the slightest of all model, bucks. I would have preferred a 4x4 diesel gator or 4x4 RTV by Kubota in Diesel, but the practicality of MY usage didn't outweigh the cost factor. I got a great deal 6,350.00 out the door, but had to drive 300 miles (150 each way) up into western Georgia to get it. It was worth the trip and the wife is happy, as she'll be the primary user. I'm normally doing my thing on my 4wheeler or the tractor.
I know this is off topic, but in my last post I stated that I didn't own one yet, but had been looking.
On a side note, it's got a nice spot underneath the front just begging for a Warn Winch. I bought a brushguard (Bison brand) for the front, will put it on tomorrow...maybe post a pic
