byax65,

Welcome to TBN, your bio didn't say where in Moochigan you are, but I tend to agree with RedDog that price seems a little high /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I bought my 4510 with FEL, and 7' rear blade for 21K out the door in the Big Rapids area, which ended up a little less than the NH, but that's my area. Where I live that it was around 3K higher.

It's a nice tractor /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and heck go as big as you can if you can spare the $$$$ /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Thanks all,

I actually have price checked with another dealer in Monroe, which is 20 minutes further away, he came in at $175 cheaper than the closer dealer, but I feel more comfortable at the nearby dealership. I did send an email to Corriher's asking for a price on same setup, they responded that I'd have to talk to the owner since it involved A plan pricing. I'm thinking after shipping charges it won't be much different, yes I don't have to pay state sales tax for N.C., but I have to claim it for MIchigan sales tax on my return, and I plan on writing the tractor off as a business expense for my future tree farm.

RedDog, if I squeeze out a few more acres to add to the plantation I can move up to a TN? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Still waiting on you guys to weigh in on this question:
2 tractors sitting in the parking lot, one is the TC45DA with hydro/supersteer, the other is the TC48DA with SSS, you can pick either one and take it home which one are you taking? (I can get the 48for $100 less than the TC45DA with above bells/whistles).

byax65,

The dealer is very important, and should out weigh a small price difference /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As far as the other question, I would go with the 48, but that's me, you have to make the decision :g

If you start your tree farm now, you might not have to pay state tax /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif look into it /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Good luck and keep us posted /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

raynman,

Wow, that's a great tip on the sales tax. I'll definitely have to check that out. I'll owe you a beer if you save me $1500+. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

raynman,

Talked to the dealer, he says as long as I start the tree farm this year and claim it on next year's taxes, I won't have to pay the sales tax when I buy the tractor. I just have to sign a form at purchase. That was a great tip!!!!! Thanks.

A 7 & 7 sounds better, but not a problem /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Let us know when you get the new ride and post some pictures /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

actually i don't think that is way out of line, a friend of mine bought the same tractor about 1 1/2 years ago, minus the supersteer, and remotes, and paid a good deal more. also his machine did not have hydro.

Test Drive Day

Well finally made it down to the dealer today and test drove a TC40DA w/hydro and a TC55DA with EHSS. Found the the class III was plenty big enough for what I need and alot of fun to drive. I'm sure I would eventually get use to the SSS on the 55 but it would never be as easy and simple as the hydro. Did love the sound of that 55 turbo powered up. So I ordered the 45DA, should be in in a few weeks to a month. Ill keep y'all posted..
