Yes, and he must have quite an inventory -- all of the tractors have 420 hours. Also, he must have a standardized dealership layout -- the photos of the tractors in Orlando, SF, and Hartford appear to be in the same setting. However, there must be different conditions in his market territories. The one in Orlando is priced at $6,110 and the one in SF is priced at $6,152.

How does he have such low prices? Volume, volume, volume.

I would have to agree with everyone on being very careful with suspicious ads on craigslist. I've bought quite a bit of things from craigslist and have seen plenty of scams. I enjoy emailing them and wasting there time to answer questions and pull there chain.

I also do it because some of these hard to believe ads are real. I found one last year for a mahindra 3616 cab hst with loader in great shape, 160 hours and the pictures looked like showroom condition. I emailed and called multiple times until I was convinced that it was real. I made a 900 mile trip and now I own a great tractor for only 15k. Best purchase ever.

The tractor has been put to good use with no issues.

Great job! I also scour CL for good buys and have bought my share of screaming good deals. You have to act quick when you see a good buy and be very skeptical of many others. Also, meet in public if at all possible. I bought one tractor in a grocery store parking lot. People thought I was nuts driving it around the parking lot.

I sold a motorcycle and the person wanted to meet at a Wal Mart , worked for both of us . I never knew why but after reading all these stories I now know . I live out in the boon docks .
