Wanted to get some input from a user. And see if there has been any bent scarifiers/ripper points.
Deerhunter - I have used my
grapple for digging out and picking up brush, logs, roots, large rocks, and large stumps.
The points on my
grapple are as they were when I purchased the RBG72 a year ago. I am very satisfied with the quality of the
grapple and the company it came from.
So far the limitation of the
grapple has been determined by my FEL, or the operator, and not the
grapple itself. I'm not saying it is not possible to bend/break the points, but so far this has not been a concern for me. Not sure what kind of tractor you will mount the
grapple on (profile -hint, hint /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif) so your results may vary. The toothbar on my bucket is actually very effective on loosening up attached roots as it will usually slice them up, however I seem to always pick up too much dirt once I try to collect and move the sheared roots.
My soil is clay and rock -
My only regret I have with the WR Long RBG72 is not purchasing it sooner. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
Good Luck in your decision!
