I can relate.

My wafe has come home and found the front grill of a tractor in the dish washer, and a pot ont he stove boiling some water with some leather and hard rubber gaskets in it ( to rebuild the hyds in my 52 8n that was torn apart in the garage ).

The pot of parts was bad enough.. ( pot is now a shop tool... ).. However I thought she was gonna have a cow when the dishwasher opened...

Seemed like a good idea at the time.. and actually.. the grill came very clean!

Hey, I almost forgot! The best way I know of to clean up really dirty old cast iron parts is to put them in a SELF CLEANING oven for a while? Should my wife ever ask you about that, you didn't get that info from me.......

And what about removing cosmoline from a military rifle stock using the dishwasher in the kitchen - done it when my wife was gone for the weekend of course.

I have wired the saftey back on a nail gun, turned the air pressure up all the way and had target practice with the gun.

I have put blasting caps and gas in sealed paint cans, wired them to the plunger and let'em rip.

I have filled plastic bags with from torch sets and ignited them also.

I have found that the dishwasher is the best tool for cleaning automatic transmission parts - I can get away with it as long as I run two empty flushing loads afterward. We just replaced our current dishwasher and the old one goes out in the shop as a parts washer. It runs OK but the racks are beginning to rust apart.

I am having problems with the new dishwasher - it is smarter than I am.

I have that problem too.......But that's part of the reason I married her.

(Again, should my wife inquire about my comments, you've never heard from me)

Allright Chris,
Once upon a time I had a 1969 Camaro SS. I was into go fast back then, and I decided to remove the stock fuel pump and install a electric pump. Well, instead of using a tubing cutter I tried using a hacksaw. All was going along well until gas started coming out of the partially severed gas line, but the best part was when I accidentally started to hacksaw through the BATTERY CABLE at the same time gas was spewing from the fuel line

OK, so Im not a race car mechanic ;) :) I still remember the scene vividly :) heck thats only 37 years ago :)

I had a bad luck with 3 company replacement Mac laptops lately.

Macintosh is not just a computer, it's a religion!
