Pretty sure i'm gonna be loading my rear tires on my B26 in the spring.
I dont want to use calcium because i had a machine that the wheels rusted out on,and it did have tubes. Also i know about " beet juice " but i dont think anybody has it in my area.I've decided if i do decide to load my tires i'll probably go with WWF.Mostly because its easy to get.I also know about WWF not weighing as much as the alternatives. That doesnt bother me.
I read somewhere on here that WWF wont hurt wheels even if they are not equipped with tubes. Is this true?If it is true, why doesnt it?It is made up of water and some kind of alcohol isnt it?I would think that it would rust the wheels to an extent, just not as bad as calcium. Can somebody explain this to me?
Also, does anybody know if it will do any harm to the tires ?
thanks,digger2

You're right about windshield washer fluid containing alcohol. As far as I know, it's usually methanol, which by itself is a weak acid and can cause metal corrosion. But, I believe the formulators of this stuff always add an anti-corrosion agent to the fluid, so your rims should be OK.

Don't know about the tires.

Get "Rim Guard" beet juice or put tubes and fill the tubes. I would never want to use CaCl2

Very little rust will form in the WWF. It's not corrosive and won't harm the rubber of the tires. CaCl2 will rust out rims, but that usually takes 30-40 years. Shorter if they don't put enough in.

I had to wait a while to read this post, All I could think of for WWF was World Wrestling Federation, And while they don't cause rust they do bother a lot of other things.

The washer fluid is intended to be stored in plastic reservoirs, go through rubber lines and steel nozzles, be in contact with the windshield trim and paint on the car. I'm thinking it won't hurt anything on the tractor.

It is a bit less dense than either CaCl2 or the sugar solution that is beet juice, however, so you won't get as much weight per gallon. Also, it is not as environmentally friendly as the beet juice if you should get a puncture and leak it all over everything in the area.

One group of Amish around here is not allowed to have pneumatic tires, so they fill theirs with foam or concrete. Another group can't use tractors, so the problem doesn't exist for them.

If you are in NE PA then you must be pretty close to Rick Wallace (Kioti dealer) to the east of Scranton/Wilkes Barre I think. He definitely carries RimGuard.

Thought the same thing. Those guys are abrasive, but not necessarily corrosive. :D

CONCRETE????? Talk about ballast.......I would just hate to have to remove one of them concrete tires.
