Pulled off the tin and recoil plastic shield. Lots of dust but no nest or grass. I don't believe this amount of debris could cause the problem. I am going to push it hard again today with the cowl off. If nothing happens Ill put it back on and see what that brings. Couple more questions. While I am cutting and trying to watch the hour meter as close as I can what does it read if it stalls out? At the same time I am watching the spark plug testers glow orange and not smash into something! Here is my thought process jump in and correct me when I go astray. Lets say it stalls and I am fast enough to see plugs still firing but stalls anyway. Wont restart immediately. If the plugs are firing but not starting has to be a fuel issue. If it wont immediately start but no plugs firing I am back to an electrical problem.

What does the oil look like? On some small engines, if the oil is dirty, they wont run. Is the exhaust clear? I had a dirt dobber partially plug up my generator exhaust and it drove me crazy trying to figure that out.
oil looks good, I changed it the beginning of the season and it doesn't get used that much. Looks clean no gas smell. Ill check the exhaust today thanks for that. I ran it quite a while yesterday pushed it hard and still didn't stall out. Ill put the cowl back on today and do more testing.

I had breaker that was stopping my John Deere, and after I waited for awhile it would start back up. Took me a while to find the problem, because I didn't use the tractor much.
