is one any better than the other or would it be personal preference. Right now kubota is outperforming John Deere
in the customer service dept,(my personal experience), so I was considering the 1800 over the x-595, Opinions,advice?
thanks

You need to tell us what you want to do with them. I'd throw in the JD 4010 into the picture if you're comparing against a BX 1800. The X595 has A WHOLE LOT more hp, if you need it, like for mowing 3-4' high grass down to 2". The 4010 will do this at top speed in low range.

Starting at: $13,249.00* (U.S.) with 54C deck
John Deere products for homeowners: Features for X595 4WD Garden Tractor

Why pay $13249.00 for a lawn and garden tractor when I can get the Kubota BX1500 Sub Compact for $7750.00 ???

Mr. Brown, for the added cost you get a 12v jack to plug in your cell phone and a cup holder. Do you get all that on the BX??? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I considered the x-595 when I was shopping for my bx1500. As I recall, the x-595 is the Rolls Royce of Garden Tractors, with lots of "creature comforts". However, economy and functionality were higher priorities for me, and when I equipped the x-595 with the functional features that I needed (3ph, FEL), the difference in price was more than I was willing to pay for the additional hp and "bells and whistles".

I have a BX1830 with 54"MMM and FEL and am very happy with it. I mow about 1 acre so I just did not need anything bigger. I just saved the $500 additional the BX2230 would cost. If I had it to do again I might just get the 2230. I paid $12000 for the above. I don't know anything about the JD.

5500 bucks is pretty steep for a 12v jack to plug in your cell phone and a cup holder.

============
When I got my BX23 the BX2230 was
$8100.oo tractor
$1300.00 60" MMM
TOTAL $9400.00
Beats the socks off a $13249.00 Garden Tractor with a 54" Deck.

I was given the 'Rolls Royce' line when I checked them out too. Much more than the 2200 I bought, and that was without the FEL and PTO (which is/was 'optional').

'Rolls Royce' is a great comparisson, actually, because owning a Rolls (or an X) is a sign you have so much money you can afford to overpay for not so good machinery, because thats all either of those things are. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
