I have just benn looking at these size tractors too...

The very very clear choice for me between an X series and the Kubota BX series... are the Kubota's...

My pick is the BX2230... about $10,500 here with 60" mmm... and it comes with rear PTO... full cat-1 3-point-hitch... which are $$$ options on the Deere's...

Buying a JD is like paying more for an Escort than a Lincoln.

Why drive an Escort when you can own the Lincoln for less money?

Interesting .... I think most would say the Deere X series is the Lincoln of lawn mowers, while the BX is the Escort of CUT's. It all depends on what you want\need out of the machine. One man's Lincoln is another's Escort.
