X595 Owners out there??

   / X595 Owners out there?? #21
I just put a deposit on an X595. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif I will be retiring an 8hp Kohler '69 JD110 which is still running strong on it's 3rd short block, but the snow where I use it is just too much for it.

I probably won't be geting it until the second week in July because I am getting ready to go on vacation.

BTW, I paid $13,700 for the 595, delivered with a 54" deck, 47" two stage snow blower, and the 3 bag powerflow bagger.

I recently sold my '69 110, (for $750) and it was in great shape, but you will think you have died and gone to heaven with the new X595. I have the X485, all-wheel-steer, and it is a mowing machine (54" deck), no doubt about it. (Your value won't drop $4000 the first year either).
Will you restore the old 110? That 8hp kohler was a workhorse too. Too bad that Kohler let their products slide the way they did. Like so many companies find out, recovering from 'cheap' is not easy to do.

I haven't decided what to do with the 110 yet. While it isn't in show condition, it has been garage kept and well cared for over the years (my father owned it before I did). It is in much better shape than many newer machines that I have seen. I may decide to sell it because I don't want it to just sit around unused, but I am kind of attached to it. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Just a note that I had the dealer bring the x595 last week and he said use it and try it out ! SO I HAVE !!! It really out does my bx2200 in many ways . One, the same hill I mow at the lake , back side of the dam, I would always use the 4 wheel drive , the 595 does the same without putting it into 4 wheel .The 595 out cuts the bx2200 in turns , and with only using half the power as the bx, mows the grass and blows it nicer, very fine cut . The 595 is much quiter and is more user friendly , things are where they should be and easy to use. When in the 4 wheel drive , look out , this tractor is a real horse!! So the dealer called today and is trading me even up for mine , the 595 is a 02, bx was a 01! I like the bx2200, but when it comes to tractor for tractor , the 595 is up on em with alot more comfort ( dont bother my leg now ) , and mows much nicer. If you need the power take off or the 3 point hitch , then the bx is right for you , I didnt need that , the dealer is getting me a front blade for it that does alot more than the rear blade. Thanks for all the responses, Im back into green again !!

Clipped,
Congratulations! Keep us posted on the 595 as you use it. Sounds like you got a good deal, I was also considering the 2200 but like you don't need the hitch. Good to hear a side by side comparison.
