LB, I am not sure I follow you on the tractor comparison. Really what seems is happening is giving our OP some other options. As for my opinion on the 2320, I rarely use high gear except for transport. I use low for ground engagement and mowing. I am not sure of the speed, but at WOT it is similarly fast to an X series when mowing. No utility tractor, no matter what the size, will be as manuverable as a dedicated garden tractor, and the 2320 is no exception. It is quite manuverable with much greater capability and for not a huge amount more money. Just a thought for option. I will say the 2305 is also an option, but when I tested one on my property I found the 2320 to be a lot stouter machine and it felt as though it had more power. If mowing is the primary duty then going with the 2305 in the JD line might be a better option. It is not as quick and comfortable and manuverable as the X series but does better with a loader, etc. if that is ever needed. I recommend any time one has a utility machine, loading the tires is a given, either with liquid ballast or wheel weights or both. As for the X 748 and tearing up the grass, my X 595 (identical machine--different number) never damaged my lawn in MFWD.
