Yes we have done a lot of front bucket work. Now well over 200 hrs in all. No long idling .
Mostly lifting stumps w/ a chain & hauling away, as so far as HD work. Recently I made a set of forks for mounting when the front bucket was removed. This is really a tool to move things, even remove old stuff....you'll see. If anyone wants pix for their project would be glad to share.
Sometimes we'd use the back hoe to push & pull stumps out, all the while using a pump from our pond to wash away the sand/clay from around the root system.
We have no rocks to speak of in FL. But we have some incredible clay deposits, red, yellow, blue & grey.
Rain storms will super soak our soil (sand) & the clay below will slow the water soaking into lower levels of soil.
Point here is that the root system of all tree but for the pines will blow over if the big blow takes place w/ a full canopy of leaves.
Winter time, not so much.
We have a lot of lower level flooding everywhere. Add in steady strong winds & there is near nothing holding the massive shallow root system.
The incredible weight of the wet leafy canopy above is just too much.
Sorry for the run on chat about our near countless loss of trees during rain storms when timed close together.
Nothing we can do about it, but clean up the mess & go fishing later.
Good on you & anyone else who take on some of the smaller tasks of insuring our LS keep running at their best.... w/ all 25 ponies.
We lost over 15 major size trees in our yard & two others fell into our yard from our nearest neighbors.
Having this XG3025H has just made everything so much faster & we do a better job than anyone working on their clock.
This is also why we help others. We have a tool made for storm clean ups.
