XG3025 Recall

   / XG3025 Recall #81
Another up date on our XG3025H. Just off the phone w/ Trenton Farm Equipment, in Trenton, FL.
The motor arrived yesterday.
It has been installed & runs great......However, the bolster sent (blue skid plate looking thing in the pix above) was for a non back hoe tractor.

So dealer calls the SE LS tractor rep & all is explained.....now we must wait until the correct bolster arrives.

Please note:
The earlier term ''motor sub frame'' was used; now the dealer is using the ''bolster'' term.

The motor arrived in a near ready to install level of assembly.
Valve cover was installed by factory.
As w/ oil pan
Fan belt & alternator too

The external oil pump is being reused.

Dealer replacing both coolant hoses w/ their clamps & new coolant.

It is interesting that there are LS contributors working separately to send different tractor parts to our dealer in FL.
The motor was shipped from Korea direct.

Perhaps motor assembly is Mitsubishi direct & the mounts, frame & bolster are from LS plant.

There has been some miscommunication during this LS tractor recall, but we do not feel we are getting the run around from any part of the solution from LS or their contributors.

They definitely seem to be taken care of you. Hopefully they can get back to you soon.

Agreed, it sounds like they're working hard to make it right. It's good to hear.

My dealer told me it was resolved & is being resolved with any outstanding customers with issues, but new ones fixed. I went with the xg3135h, planning that in 5 yrs when warranty out, chip computer to be xg3140h.

I didn’t know chipping was an option. Does that work on the xg3025?

Short answer NO.

There is not an electric fuel control system.
Rather than electrically monitored it is simply mechanically controlled.

Before jumping ship from the xg3025 be sure you know for a fact you can do such an upgrade w/ the desired results.
Getting more hp at the cost of a chip may have worked on a muscle a few years back or even work trucks.

I'd be sure the smog system on the tractor motor you are thinking about will handle the increase in exhaust demands.

If it does work out, PLEASE let us all know w

JUst got a call from the LS Dealer I purchased my tractor from, They are trying to set up a pickup for a recall that must be done ASAP. I am 4 hours away from this dealer and they are trying to have the work done an hour away. Does anyone have a clear understanding of the recall? what is involved? thanks in advance.

Greetings, last week my XG3025 was delivered and I've been busy getting familiar with it and checking everything per the manual. When I ordered the tractor I included a 3rd function so I could use a grapple, which really works great in my woodlot. Sometime during the past few days I stumbled onto this forum and signed up, then came the dreaded realization that I may have purchased a tractor with a serious defect. I have read every post in the Recall thread and remain confused about exactly must be done to remedy the problem. Seems different XG3025's require different fixes. Also don't know how to tell the manufacture date of my tractor, the engine data plate says it was manufactured in 11/2017 but the tractor data plate does not include the date of manufacture, at least not in plain English. Anyone know how to find the tractor date of manufacture? I want to learn as much as I can about this recall before I contact my dealer, so any additional guidance will be greatly appreciated. In closing let me say the XG3025 seems to be a great tractor and does everything I need to do. This forum is also a great asset, I've learned a lot since I joined.

UP DATE :
Our XG3025H is getting a totally different sub frame
We should be seeing our tractor next week.

But seeing is believing.
Not casting any negative vibes towards anyone.

It has just been a long time.
Perhaps worst yet is the basic mistakes made along the way.
Wrong parts sent, then U S Custom delay of the LS shipping container....It was due to an shipping LS employee & no one in this country.

This thought may not make any difference to some of us; I believe all the phone calls to the regional reps & to the manager & his staff at the repairing LS dealer in Trenton, FL & yours as well, will come to a great decline. These LS employees will be relieved, too.

We have always been polite & will remain firmly in this mindset.
Have no doubt these folks (LS) want our tractors back doing what they were meant to do.

Thanks for the update on your tractor Big Blue. Does anyone know when this problem was corrected at the factory for new production? I'm still not sure if my XG3025 has the problem or not. Has anyone figured out how to determine the manufacture date on their tractor? Thanks for any info.

I felt the oil pan area on mine last weekend and got a little fresh oil. I've used my loader a lot for some tough work so if it were going to stress that area it should've happened. It isn't bad enough to cause a change in oil level though yet.
