I'm knew to this forum, and would like to know if the LS 3025h is compared with the JD 3025e. Which one would you buy and why.

Thanks

Rick

Can't say anything about the deer . If you look at my post with the Google photo link I did all that witness my ls 3025. It is a workhorse. I have broke things on mine Not the fault of the tractor it 8s what I am doing with it. Pushing trees ,digging bolders, clearing underbrush, grading etc

I can't do a comparison either, I only had an old ford 9n before the LS, love it tho.

I asked my dealer if any tractors are made in the US . Was told nothing under 100 hp. The are all manufactured overseas and assembled here

We search & researched for over a year.
The JD was one that we wanted but did not see the cost as reasonable.

It should be noted that we are not farmers nor contractor.
Simple land owners w/ a lot of trees & some swamp etc.
So we don't use this tool everyday. We have 110 hr on this LS in our first 7 months. No issues.

Once we found the LS & learned more & more about the motor & tractor design, we were ready.
Yes the LS network is not big as others but the tractor sells its self & the price seals the deal.

Good Luck in you search.

I'm torn between the xg3025 and a Mahindra 1526. This article has helped make the choice even more confusing. Closest price is within a grand, but two different states so the lower price would actually turn out a good bit more (CA taxes can kill ya). Distance wise, Oregon is closer (by hours) also. As far as I can tell, they both have Mitsubishi engines, but the LS puts a slight bit more out at the pto (and I'm sure some will put out less/more than others..)

It'll come down to "build" quality.

I thought both used Hydro steering, but then read about the tube being bent on the LS in this post. My current tractor is a 1750 Kubota, and I dislike the steering A LOT, in part due to its linkages. So tubes that get bent are a big deal with me (If Engineers can't place them in the least likely to be bent location then what else did they miss!?)

I also read the JD post, closest quote I've gotten to a JD with a BackHoe is almost double of the other quotes. Given that their all made oversees, I can't say its a "made in the USA" thing. I also know mechanics who've worked on both, and they see NO benefit of "green" over these, one even called the Mahindra as "tough". I also think the JD might be computer controlled at the pump, no thanks. I live remote, don't own a large truck, so getting my tractor to town to diagnose a sensor problem would be idiotic when a mechanical system (diesel) is simple (and effective).

Again, thanks for this post, gave me some good insight and things to look for.

I just bought an xg3025 hst and am really impressed. It replaced my first tractor, an old gray market Yanmar. Very pleased and waiting for the next sunny weekend.

I ended up going Kioti 2610 with a loader and BH for around 21,000. I'm very impressed. Expecting many good years out of it. I did my best to get the xg close in price. In the end, I'm glad they didn't. I parked mine beside one 14 years older and we looked at all the things they made for the better between the two. When a company improves, its a good sign. Small things, like filter placement, etc etc. Uses about 1 gallon per hour , almost all of it so far using the bh.
