That is great news, I am glad the problem was found!!!!
Changing the subject, I just ordered the glass cab for my xuv. Did you have a full glass cab on your old hpx? I thought I saw a pic of your old one with a glass cab on it. I was just wondering if anybody on the forum has had one of the glass cabs for the xuv or hpx.

I had the front glass windshiel and wiper.
My brother has the full glass enclosure on his diesel hpx.
Very well made. The doors are solid.
They are expensive, the quality makes it worth it tho~!

well i think they are made by curtis cab right? and if so the ones on the ranges or know to just shatter into millions of pieces so it won't cut you up. but as for cracks i don't think it will crack. i don't know about scratches. but it would take a really good hit to bust it .

I have a Kubota Glass Windshield, It has Curtis on the handles that Kick the glass forward to let jam air come into cab, so I take it that Curtis makes 'em for many UTV's.

The are tuff, not saying that that it will not break, but I know of only one that has got broken, and that was a man who was has his going down the highway, with the RTV facing forward, loaded on his trailer, had a big rock, from a oncoming big truck, shattered his I think from route from the dealership after purchasing it. I have big limbs and things hit mine, no problem, the glass will not scratch, and can keep clean alot better than plexi-glass or lexan .... These windshields they put on the UTV's are stronger than one would think ...


When I haul mine, I ALWAYS turn mine backwards on the trailer, and let the safty mesh on the back of the cab protect mine from incoming debris and rocks going down the road in transit. As far as something else breaking the glass, I think if one gets broken, it would be strickly the operators fault of some sort, or someone just beat it with a bat. For these windshields are contoured for strength, and that they are, really tuff & strong glasses !!!!

I already had the windshield installed at the factory with the windshield wiper. I think I have the same cab as Tommy, the deluxe cab. It is built in europe I believe. The curtis cabs are completely different.
I am going to do some snow plowing this winter and would like to be warm while plowing. I already installed a heater from curtis.

yes after looking the curtis cabs are different.i was thinkin they might have been made by curtis because i picked up a brochure from john deere a few months ago and it had some curtis cabs in it. but as for as breaking the glass like two guns said it would take a really good hit.the rangers that have the glasses blowing out and shattering are because of the flexing in the frames and the hpx and xuv frames are built so sturdy that they don't flex so you should be ok.you stay warm now . next all you need is a/c.lol. i almost put me a little 5k btu window unit in the back window of my hpx that would have blown sone really cold air on me .
