yammar tractors???????

MY $.02: I like a tractor with no repaint, the same way I like my women./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif The way I look at it if a tractor looks good without the repaint why mess with a good thing? If it NEEDS a repaint chances are it wasn't as good of quality to begin with. Maybe I'm wrong but I only know what I've seen around the net and at the dealers lots I've visited. Doesn't it usually make people nervous when they go to look at a used car and the guy says he just got it back from the paint shop?? The tractor in the pic is typical of Waynes tractors. I've been there a couple of times and his are some of the best looking original tractors you'll see. That doesn't mean occasionally the wheels etc won't be repainted, but there are no OVERHAULS in a can.

Call me old fashioned, but I like mine with the original paint. Even worn, that original baked on paint is hard to beat. In fact, I don't care if the old paint is rubbed off or even rusty in places, I'd much rather buff off the rust and put on a coat of wax for protection. I expect a good used piece of machinery to have some paint and body wear. Doesn't bother me at all. At least that original paint - even with the wear and the dings - gives me an honest indication of the machine's life and care. New paint just makes me suspicious.

I have purchased from Dick Roberts at MTS No1. All of the tractors that I saw at his shop are very clean and mechanically sound and he is a very nice guy. The down side is he doesn't stock or have the ablity to get parts, but he can give you some names of places to get parts.
I bought an F15D from him with 280 hours on it with a tiller and haven't had any problems, and if you have any question he will answer your email quickly and at least steer you in the right direction. From where I live he was an hour away and it was well worth the trip.
