HAS ANYONE HAD THIS ISSUE? STARTS SLOW THEN RUNS GOOD MAYBE 5 MINUTES THEN ACTS LIKE UNDER A LOAD ,THEN LOTS OF BLACK SMOKE ,THEN DIES WILL NOT RESTART UNTIL COOLED DOWN A LITTLE WHILE . MY FIRST TIME POSTING AND FIRST TIME FOOLING WITH YANMAR.

Make sure your three point hitch control is not fully pulled up. It is possible that the system is out of adjustment, and the pump is loading down the tractor.

Also check your air filter and that the brakes are not dragging.

Loss of Antifreeze or Oily water in the Radiator. The next Cold start Crank it with Radiator cap off. If the water come pouring out the top thats your problem. Head gasket, Cracked head, Block. Doubtful it's a bad Radiator from your discription of the prob. 5 Min.it's not running long enough to be overheating. Thats just a Guess. And my last guess how good is the fuel.

Not getting Hot. That was a good guess. Your going to have to run a compression check most likely. Oh thats not Monroe Ga. is it ? LOL.

There really is not much fuel returning in those lines but after a few seconds there should be a few drops of fuel that have come out? But i dont think that is a problem as your getting fuel or else you wouldnt run.

I think a head gasket issue would create white (light grey) smoke, not black.

It sounds like a lack of air or compression. Maybe it is time to check the valves for adjustment. Seems the easiest check, and something which can't hurt, even if it isn't the issue.

I JUST COME HOME TO CHECK THESE THINGS OUT ,IT DRIVES ME CRAZY WHEN I CANT FIGURE SOMETHING OUT LIKE THIS ! I LEFT RADIATOR CAP OFF AND IT CRANKED RIGHT UP RAN MAYBE 4,OR 5 MINUTES AND STARTED HEAVY BLACK SMOKE I HAD MY FINGER IN RADEATER WATER ,IT WAS WARM NOT HOT I ALSO CHECKED 3 POINT WHILE IT WAS RUNNING BUT IT DOESN'T SEAM TO WORK. WHEN IT WENT DEAD I RECHECKED WATER IN RADIATOR AND IT WAS REALLY HOT . ALMOST IF IT HAD GOTTEN HOT REAL FAST . AFTER IT GOES DEAD ITS HARD TO START AGAIN UNTIL IT COOLS DOWN . I JUST GOT TRACTOR SO I DONT KNOW IF 3 PT HAD WORKED BEFORE . IT HAS THREE POSITIONS ON LEVER AND I HAVE IT IN MIDDLE .
