I'll take a look this weekend at the valve controls.
Had a number of failures last weekend, First the Tractor that I was using to grade a flat area for the shed (did the remainder work the box scraper), then I bought a Framing nail gun for the shed I'm building and the compressor had the main tank valve break, so nailing by hand, then the Jeep Wranglers battery was simply dead and I couldn't go anywhere until AAA came and replaced the battery.

So now that all those Murphy events are out of the way, I'm hoping my plans will go smoother now and I can figure out the Hydraulics quickly and get that shed built, although I'll have a sore hammer arm this time around I guess till the compressor part arrives.

Seems I always end up doing these projects when its in the 90's and 100's....and that tends to slow the work pace.

I guess the above was an update, rant, catharsis...I feel better now, and appreciate all the guidance on the Tractor issue.

I'll post an update when I've taken stuff apart to see whats the matter.

I took a look at the controls valving and I can not see how to take it apart other than removing the hoses and the end caps on the left side.

I did not look on the underside yet but that may be the next step.

I also discovered that the bucket does slowly curl and leak down.

I noticed a squealing that I originally thought was the water pump or belt but on closer inspection it is coming from the Loaders Aux Hydraulic pump.

Also I confirmed that the hydraulic pump shaft IS turning.

I removed the spin on filter which is on the Hydraulic return line and dumped it. looks perfectly clean.

If I can figure out how to take the valve apart I may get this solved.

Looks similiar to the Dukes 1225 valve. Can you see a model number on it? Lever end and oppisite end is where it will come apart.

I can't see the model number, it may be painted over, but it looks identical in every respect to the Dukes web page spec for the 1225.

You saved me a load of time identifying that unit so many thanks for your response.

Once I relieve the system Hydraulic pressure and remove the springs, levers etc should I just be able to pull the entire valve spool out the front (or back)?

Squealing may be a sign of running against relief..

I don't know why you can't loosen the line that controls the lift / lower part of the loader ..If you do this, the loader will have to fall..There is something in your valve circuit not letting the fluid to move ,so the loader can fall

I will take the stuff off at the spring end #18 and pull it out towards the front lever, after I loosen the hyd hose to relieve pressure in the lines.

The squealing is occurring at the pump so perhaps it has a pressure relief that is going off due to the valve port being blocked?
