Yanmar 336D FEL only works when 3 point is raised to max and straining the engine!?

Now that the problem is solved.I'm curious as to what part this plug plays in the system. Do these lines that come off the lock actually feed HP hyd fluid to the control valve ?

EDIT:: No need to answer. I looked at the diagram. Somehow plug this provides flow for an FEL valve

On a side note:: did anyone see how much that little plug cost in the link that was posted ? $54.43 ! expensive little sucker !

The way mine is set up is so that when the loader is removed the spool valve stays on the machine, if it didn't then you would have to remove that plug to circulate the fluid to the 3 point. I know most tractors you just connect the pressure and PB hose via quick connect but on mine you would have to unbolt the tank line and let it hang or remove it. No idea if this is how the factory did it as my spool valve mount is not original but makes sense for the application. The plug i bought cost me 9.99 as i couldn't find an individual plug, i had to buy a set from the auto parts store. The plug in the link i THINK is for 100 of them, it says X100 or something near the price kinda i noticed.

Thanks for explaining. I just knew if you ever posted down here someone would be able to help you. I didn't notice that the screw in the link was x 100. My bad ! Happy tractoring ! I hope we have found a new member !

You were certainly right! I still cant get over the fact that it was just a little set screw. Another thing is this tractor was used by a lumber yard before the previous owner bought it (he was an employee there). He said for years they used it for snow removal and moving large objects with the FEL. I still cant even comprehend how they used it without that plug in or why they would at some point remove that plug! As far as now members you certainly do! I am planning on repainting the 336D as well so maybe i will start a new thread about it soon! Kenmac your 3110D looks to be in great shape from the photos!

Yours is plumbed what I call correctly with quick disconnects on the loader cylinder outlets. J_J, one of our members and a hydraulic guru along with others guided me through plumbing my system with power beyond. Plumbed this way if your quick disconnect accidently gets unplugged you won't do damage to your system. Here is a picture of my valve now mounted on the tractor. Another plus here is being able to use that valve for other implements if that was needed.

Nice! without a doubt a lot cleaner than my set up! I plan to re-do most of the tractor though so i may end up with a set up like yours (hopefully)!

i had a similar hyd story on a JD 2030 a few years back, bought the tractor apart and after getting it together no pressure, split the tractor and found a freeze plug type plug missing from the cavity, had it welded by a pro,fun to watch him weld in that tight spot and it worked perfect, glad yours is working well,
how responsive is the loader?

The loader is responsive but i am still toying with the relief valve on the new spool valve for the loader control. It was factory set at 2000 psi i think but during my quest to discover the problem with the loader i adjusted it out of the factory setting. Is there a trick to setting it properly? its just a small Allen screw.

I have heard to adjust just so the loader just picks the front of the tractor off the ground. I adjusted mine this way + about 2 more rounds for a little more lifting power

Ok good thats how i did it, would it hurt anything to just turn it up all the way? the loader seemed to move faster when i did.
