Dealer YANMAR DEALERS

   / YANMAR DEALERS #31
It is funny you ask this "innocent " question since you have sold grey market tractors in the past at your Canmar location and had a 1610 at Munfordville while I was on the property. Yes, I live in the local area. I am just wondering why you would ask this question on the web site at the same time posting a free ad in your signature. It seems to me that you know the answer before you asked the question, so to me the question seems disingenuous. Nobody on the web site ever pretends that they have the type of dealership like the JD or Case dealers in E-town has. Len, as well as others, have always been up front about this on many posts.

California, Yes sir that was it and thanks, I have a good memory - just short.
BTW, Lived in and went to school in Bay Area, Lake and neighboring counties for 41 years. Miss the races too. All the orchards (pear, orange, kiwi, and nuts) almost gone and wineries / grapes everywhere. Kinda miss the big trees.
Regards, Mark

i really don't know much about the new dealer here, thats selling recond yanmars, except they are friendly and helpful.
they are also selling some other equipment, box blades, brush hogs etc..and adding some competion to the local market. i wouldn't hesitate to buy from them, but i would have to save a whole lot more money before i bought a recond tractor over a new one from the big 3.

BTW, The ads in the signature are by no means "Free". We pay a substantial fee to TBN to have that privilage. After 3 years of trying, we finally sold the last used Yanmar that we had in inventory and have vowed to never own another one because of difficulty in getting support parts in central Ky. I am aware that a lot of Grey market Yanmar parts are available via the internet, however, many of our customers do not access the internet and are at a loss for support. We live and learn by the decisions we make--Ken Sweet

What parts would you like, and how many of them? We avoid the hard-to-source machines but have never had a problem getting parts for the red Zennohs. If your customers were at a loss for support, isn't that a reflection on you? Why would you carry something without determing first that you can support it? And worse yet...why would you sell it to unsuspecting customers when you believe there is no support available? Sounds like folks should be very, very careful what they buy from you.

Do you get parts for your Sicma and Caroni equipment in central KY? Or do you source them elsewhere?

Isn't the dealer supposed to be the point of support for the customer? Surely you're not suggesting that you don't provide support for your Kioti tractors-your Daros tedders-your Panorama rakes-to your customers who can't access the internet? Should your current customers be concerned that you may drop any of these brands in a few years and vow never to own another one, leaving them high and dry for support?

I do not like to get my dander up, but I agree fully with clifst2310 --your question was self-serving. The people on this forum know what kind of support is available, and it is very good.

You want to spar, I'll go a few rounds. We have never let our tractor customers down. That was the core of the issue. YOU are the guy who said he unloaded tractors with no ability to supply parts. Your and my original posts had nothing to do with "all Yanmar calls". We get overloaded with these generic calls too....primarily because of people who sell them and then offer NO SUPPORT even to their own customers. So you have a friend who bought wholesale too without knowing how he would support the tractor? You folks got something in your water? Anyone else on this board go into winter with a newly acquired used tractor and NOT check the coolant for adequate protection? If your guy wants a block for a 1500 call Paul Seago at 256-773-9951.
I have no idea why you felt the need to state what your friend paid for the tractor. First off, that is too cheap stateside for a decent 1500 wholesale. Second, you want to play cost posting, would you like me to post your costs for your Kioti models, along with the amounts that get rolled back for timely sales, volume sales, etc?

I used to read another poster's frequent clashes with you and wonder why he felt the need to confront you so much. I'm beginning to understand.

Thanks for the info. I will call Mr Day and tell him where he can get a new block. I assumed that everyone knew that there are many wholesalers around Huntsville, Al. Gordon and his son at Maynard Equipment are very reputable.--I never paid more than $1500 for a Yanmar 1500D in good condition with 30 day warranty.---Ken Sweet

You know where all these wholesalers are but you can't get parts to support the tractors you sold to customers? Shame on you. Perhaps your parts problems were initiated by the quality of the tractors you bought at such low prices.

I am through with this. It is obvious you're not here to gain new information nor to impart knowledge. Frequent readers here know the realities, and if you need to try to create ambiguities about the grey market tractors to try to bolster your sales, have at it.
