Loader Yanmar F18D hydraulic query

If the HP port is part of the tractor, this port will feed the loader valve, and the loader valve should have a PB port to feed the next valve be it a remote or the 3pt.

All tank/OUT ports should go to tank.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look for me and for making suggestions.
The three levers are:
i) to lift the arms and bucket
ii) to tilt the bucket
iii) to open the bucket

My Mitsubishi has a similar setup - because it had no ports to connect to we cut into the line and plumbed it in series (I think that is the phrase)

This one has two lines of the same diameter rubber pipes with only the end fittings being different. Unfortunately it didn't come with any instructions and the seller just tells me he hasn't one of this model so can't help :-(

I foolishly thought that because it was made for the F18D that the hoses would connect to some logical point! How wrong could I be!!!!

It looks as though the plumbing for my F215 is different to the F18 but i'll also take the panel off over the weekend and get some photos to see if that will help.

I see the loader comes with 2 banjo fitting's ready to plumb in nice setup! The one with 4 holes around the edge is the hp and the other is return to tank. The fitting with 4 holes looks like one that what would fit one of our YM pumps HP output port. I would say who ever designed that loader knows what they are doing so Id be looking for fittings that match what has been pre-installed on the hoses. my .002

The big question is where to attach the hydraulic lines. Aaron at Hoyetractor tells me I should ignore the plumbing under the seat and just cut into the HP line. That is fine but I'm 45 miles from someone to do that and I'm not keen to make two 90 miles trips - then there is the cost of such a course of action. There is also the problem that the HP line isn't all that accessible to do such a 'chop' and divert without some major plumbing.

The other option on the HoyeTractor site is to buy a pair of 'collars' and divert the HP line but again we are dealing with metal pipes that have to go somewhere if they are detached from their original placement - unlike a rubber line that can be bent and re-routed if necessary.
It would be OK if there was somewhere along the line that it could be done but there isn't that I can see.

So here I am a week later, I've got the FEL mounted, but not going anywhere due to lack of hydraulics :-(

I will do my best my best to get you some pics of how mine is plumbed in. I have a feeling the pipe i said was connected about the 3pt shut off goes to the connector for my tipping trailer.

Thanks for that scottlw - all I need is to know where I can attach the HP line and where to place the return line
Pictures would be absolutely fantastic :)

If you don't feel comfortable connecting the lines,,is it possible to take your tractor to the place that made your loader and have them connect the hydraulic lines for you ? That way you don't connect wrong and cause damage.

It would be the best answer but it is a FEL made overseas - to specifications for an Australian importer - and as my Yanmar is what you call greymarket there is no support here. In all probability there were none ever imported into Australia as new tractors. The seller I purchased it from imports secondhand tractors from Japan and doesn't have the facilities to assist. If I'd paid another $5-6000 I could have bought a tractor with a FEL attached but money was the issue at the time. I'm now in a position to fit one. Besides which he is over 240 miles away :-(

does the person you purchased the tractor from have another tractor like yours with a loader ? If so, it might be worth it to make the drive and take pics of how the hyd lines are tied in. Maybe the seller can make you a diagram of how to make the tie in. Most here are tied in like Aaron told you to do it. Mine came tied in like that as well, but I had problems with the loader working correctly and I changed the way mine was plumbed
