After years of dreaming, researching, asking questions and learning on TBN, and doing way to much manual labor with all the wrong tools (ie, 3 lawn mower decks now because of bush hogging with my lawn mower), I have just finally purchased a new tractor. L3800HST FEL and a few implements to get started with. I've been back and forth about size, stability, power, implements etc from SCUTs to this one. Wife said I'm only buying once (yeah, that's right JohnThomas), so make sure I get it right the first time. So here's hoping the fever will be quenched the first time.

I should get delivery Monday. This will be a long weekend for sure...

My dealer is the coolest and most patient guy in the world. I've been bugging him for what seems like forever. Will post pictures very soon.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::):)

Congratulations

Awsome bud, beautiful! Congrats :) . Are those quick hitch boots I see. I was looking into them because the quick hitch frame I bought only fits one impliment, and I dont feel like cutting the ears off every impliment and moveing them. Who makes the rotary cutter? Looks like its built very well. Hard to tell on my phone.

Yes, those are the Pats system. Looks like it will work well. Need to file one piece a little bit for the lock open feature one side. The rotary cutter is Landpride brand as well as my tiller. Box blade is Dirt Dog brand.

That's an awesome looking set of equipment. I'd say reading during the championship game was a great idea. Enjoy your new "tools" :).

The issue of folding down the ROPS to put in the shop and having to unfold each time I get it out to use it was really bothering me. I'd like to leave up all the time. Last night, since it's still raining here and I can't do much but drive up and down the driveway, I spent some time modifying my garage door opener to shorten the lead bar and thereby get it to open more. I got another 7" or so of travel out of it which raised the door about another 4.5 inches. Now opens to 91 1/8", same height as my ROPS. Tested it several times and ROPS now just barely brushes the rubber gasket on the bottom of the door. Problem solved. Can't wait for Saturday. Should be dry and I can get some stuff done. :thumbsup:

LOL, same problem on my end, but no way my mx5100 would ever fit, so in the process of putting up a new building. Winter stalled me till spring tho, so have to deal with it for a few more months.
