Yellow Jackets

Man I just went out and thought about blasting it but there are soooo many openings and I just have a bad feeling about having a swarm come out and hammering me. Oh boy I problably should give it a try. Well I'll be back with my report hopefully. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Sorry Jim, but no video. Our hands were full with the vacuum cleaners trying to suck these buggers up before we got stung. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Well they definately go after the flashlight and I blasted them pretty good but can hear them around and ran out of spray so my job is complete for tonight and with no stings. Hooray!!! Well till tomorrow

I was fed up with them (yellow jackets, hornets, wasps, bees, etc.) myself. They've been all over the house, chicken coop, and the kids playhouse. To make a long story short, I went out and bought a Stihl SR-420 sprayer (recommended in a posting on TBN somewhere), along with some pesticide called Cynoff WP.

Cynoff claims to kill darn near everything, from mosquitoes to scorpions. Well 2 days after spraying, the population of stinging insects has dwindled dramatically. Other than the yellow jacket nest in the ground, which I still need to saturate with a gallon of Cynoff, I noticed no hornets at their local hangouts. Looks like my kids can go back outside and play again.

Greg,

Where can one buy Cynoff WP?

I went to epestsupply.com Their motto is "What do you want to kill today?" They had by far, the best price I could find online.

Cynoff is the same product as Demon, but is much less expensive. Also, personally, I wasn't keen on buying a product called Demon.

Bob, it looks like you are from New York, and I think that is one place they won't send to, unfortunately.

Greg....

Thanks for the web link. The site has products that may be somewhat helpful in my battle against yellow jackets. Why won't they ship to New York? I didn't see anything on the website that indicated this to be the fact, but then I may have missed something.

Bob, it may not have been their site, so try it out. I visited several sites looking for best prices. Here's the one I was thinking of: pests. It says they can't ship the product to New York. Call the first place, they were very helpful when I had talked to them.

Worst case scenario, send it to a friend/relative somewhere else and have them forward it to you.

Thanks Greg. I had already thought about shipping it to people I know in other states for re-shipment back to me if I have to.
