I'd be happy to have my septic tank pumped and sent to california. It would probably pull a premium price as the energy drink: "Brown Bull". I'd give Hollywood first crack at it. They could serve it up at a bar named "Floaters".

Good one. :)

In Texas, Lake Buchanan has been way down for 4 or 5 years. Just last week they had a pretty freakish storm that dumped over 7" in the watershed and are expecting the lake to rise as much as 10 feet. Hopefully more. It still won't be full, nor Lake Travis downstream, but much, much better off than just 2 months ago.
Hoping for some really big downpours in California to fill all the lakes and reservoirs.

Yes... guilty as charged.

That is one very active forum/message board, these forums are mostly out of style with the advent of Facebook and such but CD and TBN seem to be holding on fine.

Never been a Facebook person...

You simply cannot beat the information and caliber of TBN... it really is a fantastic site for Tractors and related...

Going off-topic like everybody else..... I have been a member of TBN for 10yrs. It is the most useful rural forum I have come across. Descriptions of things is a bit of a difficulty, I have learned a wee bit of what folks mean, but I am still frequently baffled by what you folks call some things.

I still visit the English Farmer's Weekly site for UK related news/info, but a recent enormous refurbishment has resulted in the handful of regular posters diminishing still further. It was not broke, but somebody had to try to fix it - and failed.

Back on topic, I would not be too quick to blame the PI. He was probably told that somebody was taking water that had not been paid for, so his job was simply to find out who. Innocent until proven guilty, just the same as Tom Selleck. The supposed theft was widely reported, but this is the first mention of his innocence I have seen.

Yes, this is a great site and I've been around here for a while, but idiotic comments like this add nothing valuable to the conversation. In fact, they bring the whole site down a notch. Grow up.

Bound to be differences in opinions with such a varied background of members and from really all corners of the globe.

That said... I do find some of the more political discussions interesting to a point for getting a pulse on what's going on.

90% of the time it is straight question and answer on topics related to tractors and rural living and right now the water is the big topic in the West... and some of my farmer/rancher friends are finding themselves cast as the bad guys which is unfortunate... simply deciding not to water an orchard is far different than not planting tomatoes this season...

I don't know much about Tom Selleck... what I do know tends to make me think he is a square shooter and probably a good neighbor... just the story of many tanker loads of stolen water at his direction would be sensational if it were true.
