You could get a scut or very smal cut with a 3pt rating to match your needs and forgo the fel.

..I'm still eyeballin that B1700.. It doesn't seem like all that great of a deal but it's not out of line with regular retail pricing far as I can tell so far.. There's that B7500 on eBay that's not too awful far from here.. I wonder how the two compare.? TractorData sez the B7400 has a slight HP gain.. But outside of that the rest on the info is kindof Greek to me.. d:^) Schneeky

.1. Left-over 1998 Massy Furgeson 1220 diesel Hydro that was brand new with warranty for $5500.. It had almost no hours.. It's 2WD with 3pt no attachments.. The paint is faded.. The covers are still on the PTO spindles..

2. Left-over Kubota (can't remember year) BX2230 again, new with factory warranty,hydro, 3pt and no implements.. 4WD. Just sales yard time on it.. $7000

3. Kubota (mid 90's) B1700 Diesel 4WD Bi-Speed turning, Pwr steer, hydro,54" deck, 451 hrs. $6500.. I still hafta research it but this sounds like a decent deal.. I liked the way the tractor drove and everything was easy to get at.. He said the guy that traded it in just used it on his lawn..

4. A guy upstate has a nice lookin JD455 for $3500 with a deck.. 1200 hours Diesel $3500..
.
2*7000 is a good price on this.A new BXBX2230 was 8100 when I bought my BX23 .
Todays price on a BX2350 like it would likely be around 9000 .
3* Bi-Speed steer was a bad Idea that didn't turn out.
My dealer says they had a lot of front end break downs on them especially with 4WD and loaders.
*****************
Here's what I saw in my local paper today:
Kubota B6200 Diesel 4WD $3700.
Kubota B7100 Diesel 4WD loader mower plow 2 sets of tires AGs and Turfs 1298 Hours $6900.
Kubot BX24 170 hours loader Back Hoe mower like new $13500.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of the ones you listed the BX2230 would be my pick.
Of the ones I listed the BX24 would be my choice.
Roxynoodle, what do you mean by 'grey market'
To understand what a gray market tractor is, you might read this. Of course, it's Kubota's website so they're talking about Kubotas, but the same holds true for the other brands.
I got my '98 B7100HST w/ FEL, mid-mount-mower, and a 50" snowblower all for $6500 -- much better deal than the B1700HST w/o loader for the same price. Now, the B7100 doesn't have power steering, but the only time I miss power steering when trying to steer with a very heavy load in the FEL. I'm making a bigger counterweight to help that.
Another idea might be a used Bobcat skidloader. I have been in the boat storage busines for more than 20 years and have found my old Bobcat to be the best machine for moving boats around. Put a 2" hitch coupler in the middle of the bucket cutting edge and move boats with absolute precision. The Bobcat also comes with a built in loader. An older M610 can be purchased for $2000-3000. Easy to work on-fantasic resale value.
.. I'm thinkin I'll do a bit more studying up on this and wait-n-see what pops up deal-wise around here.. None of this is really pressing and I still don't have a solid feel for the used tractor market just yet..
Orangeguy- That sounds like a great idea if I had more concrete.. The last time I had a Bobcat in the yard it looked like a war zone afterwards.!! :D But yeah, I could see that being a useful item..
Bird- Thanks for the grey market info..
jas67- Thanks for that comparison.. It helps..
LBrown59- It did have a coupla leaks that they were gonna fix.. But the leaks were t'wards the rear of the engine.. I'm prolly gonna let those units stew.. d:^) Schneeky..
I didn't take the time to read Bird's post but I'm sure it was very informative. Basically a grey market tractor is any tractor not originally produced for sale in the USA. Mine was used in Japan for many years until it was imported here as a used tractor. Most of them come from Japan. The government there gave farmers big incentives to buy new tractors in an effort to help with pollution so there are a lot of used tractors there but no market for them. Here we have a need for used CUTs so many are imported here. As far as OSHA and UTDA regulations are concerned many dealers are now putting on a ROPS and PTO shield and English decals, etc to meet the standards. If you are concerned about those things there are plenty of dealers on the Yanmar forum who could sell you a tractor with all safety equipment. There are many older tractors here not grey market that don't have those things either.
BTW, the safest way to move your boats and trailers is with the drawbar, not the 3PH. Should the 3PH move up you could flip your tractor.
