Yet another use for the FEL

I used my bucket to mix sac-crete when building my fence. The water was at one end of the property and the posts were at the other end. I just drove to the next post, shoveled the cement into the hole and put in a couple more sacks. Better and more efficient than a wheel barrow.

Moving anything heavy, bulky, or that needs to go to a place that's awkward to carry it too. --- Dead livestock, shingles to the roof, generator, logs to a log pile, lots of firewood to the house, etc.

Once you have that FEL, seriously look into adding a grapple to the bucket. Mine was about $500 plus plumbing. There are several brands out there, mine is from Add-a-Grapple at precisionmfg.com. I have found it about doubles the usefulness of the loader and saves a lot of getting off and on the tractor.

Here is a picture using my FIL with forks to set a tree house in place.

k7oi,

You could have used your FEL to BURY the old dead lawn mower!

It looked pretty sad dangling into that pickup................

Have fun,
ron

After buying the farm I immediately wanted to buy a tractor, but the wife and I agreed that everything but the essentals would have to wait. Only difference was our definition of essentials. I thought the tractor was essential and she thought we should wait fo a few more months. Convinced her that what a 150 year farm needed was an antique safe and they could be acquired for next to nothing. Bought the safe and had it loaded in the back of the pickup truck. A couple of days later the wife wanted some stuff hauled in the truck, but the safe was back there and weighing several hundred pounds we could not get it out. I told her that when we eventually buy a tractor with a FEL it would be easy to remove. She sent me to the tractor dealer that weekend ...

Guess I should have thought about how I would remove that safe before I bought it ...

That was priceless :D

Having just gotten through the new home thing, I understand the differance in priorities. I have a kitchen that is worth more than my tractor, truck and motorcycle and a wife that treats me like a GOD, well she keeps presenting me with burnt offerings.

That was a goodin Varmint, Have seen ya post in a while , must have been busy....

I don't have a quick hitch bucket for the FEL but I was able to put my boompole in my bucket upside down and secure it to lift my trusses for placing on my pavilion over 10' high on one side... I wouldn't have tried anything really heavy being the boom pole was upside down, but it worked great to lift the trusses..:) sorry no pics

Definitely not reccomended and dangerous. But in an emergency I used the FEL bucket to stand in to remove branches that had crashed down on my son's tent. It was in the middle of a rainstorm but it needed to be done so his tent canopy would not be crushed.
