Breaking a tire bead can be done many ways. Before the bucket method he tractor method. I used a heave 2x6 usually oak if possible. set the tire flat on the ground, and lay the plank on it like a ramp. Have the wood just barely on the rim edge. and then drive a truck's front wheel up it like a ramp. Almost to the top. set the brake and in park and get out. Take a sledge and lightly hit the end of the plank till it goes off the rim and fully sits on the tire. This usually breakes it right down. Of coerce the bucket method is faster.
