as they told me a few years ago it will run it, but the cycle speed will be painfully slow, as the pump does not pump much . U can splice into your main hydro lines like they do for a loader. Not sure if ur tractor ha ports on the valve like some others do but if so that could be an option. i know the hydraulic 3pt head has all kinds of ports on it on my ym2000 but no idea what there for.

I think the stock 1500 pump is good for about 3gpm. Your logsplitter should have a recommended gpm for operation. I'm thinking you will have to tap into you pump discharge line if you go that route. Remote hydraulic install on a Yanmar

Here is a link to a video from another website I used to go to that clearly explains how to do the tap into, although is kubota it will be the same principle,
How to Tap into Hydraulic Lines - YouTube
He stated could have welded or brazed, However there are hard-line compression fitting available that work for this purpose as well,;)

have you give much thought in installing a self contained hydraulic circuit and fluid reservoir onto the log splitter? you could then use a PTO driven pump and would sure to give you all the gpm it needs, although note: that having moving parts ( PTO spinning ) while working at the rear of the tractor wouldn't be the safest method,

o the log splitter is a shared one with another farmer so not sure about that. as i said i was thinking of a bigger compact than the ym1500 as i could do with 4x4 for some jobs so i was thinking more on the line of one around 20+ hp and with a tipper pipe ? only thing close here are chinese siromer i think they are jinma or yto tractors any ideas?
