Does anyone have any idea what the 4 red lights on the dash represent? I think the previous owner said the lower right is engine temp.
Anyway, I was brush hogging some super dense bramble thickets for about an hour and the upper left panel lit up. I stopped right away and checked -the coolant was ok, plenty of oil and hydraulic fluid, plenty fuel. After about 15-20 minutes I restarted and the light was off again.
Any ideas?
Thanks

There should be a parts manual kicking around in the Yanmar Cover Pages thread. Take a look for it over there. ;)

So the Parts Manual you need is with the YM1510 because it uses the SAME engine. Did you scroll down just one more post to snag it?

That’s a great post you put together over there! Thank you!
I looked there and there’s a good photo of the 1510 dash lights but they’re labeled n Japanese.
The parts manual just comes up gibberish when I click on it, do I need something special to view it?

Here’s a photo from a YM226.
Possibly the same light configuration. Any ideas what that upper left light is for?

The Parts Manuals are all Adobe PDF. Download to the computer and use any PDF viewer should work.

Excellent! So do you know what that upper left symbol is for?
Or the upper right for that matter.
Lower left should be volts.
I think lower right is water/ engine temp.

The Hoye image of just the dash panel helps too. ;)

Now, on the YM1510, the lights are bubble red caps that would light up. They are in the same 4 placement locations. I was searching last night trying to figure out IF they are one-in-the-same lamps for the SAME indicators. hmmmm

The YMxx02 or YMxx20 and some other selected YM series machines have similar dash indicators like you YM1502. You'll have to search out those models and get a consensus what those icon images represent. Maybe a US YM manual would give the info easily.

Where is rScotty ???? He would have an inkling on this too.

Upper left is high coolant temperature and upper right is low oil pressure. You can test those lights by touching the wire going to the temp switch and/or the oil pressure switch to a bare metal surface on the tractor. The corresponding light should light up.

I think Arron got the answer for you. ;)

Is the lower left then voltage for starting? The lightning bolt means something back then and totally different today in vehicles made after 2000.

Lower left lightening bolt is on, when alternator/regulator output is lower than sufficient to charge the battery, ie at slow idle.

After I replaced the regulator, I no longer needed to race the engine to make that light go out.

Ok, then the lower right is the final mystery.
Good stuff fellas!

I have a YM2002d, I will try to look at it and see what I can figure out. Memory says that blank (no icon) on your photo of the YM226 is also blank on mine and does not light with the “test” button pressed.
I believe they are electric, oil pressure and coolant. Mine has a temp gauge so I seldom look for that light, but watch the gauge. Unfortunately the gauge is electrical, so that is a possible issue as well.

I have not gotten to the tractor yet but found this info in a operators manual on 02 series YM’s. It goes down to 1702 and up to the 2002 models.

Hope it helps. When I get to the tractor, I will try to get a photo if the icons on the tractor warning lights.

Here are the icons on my dash. The 2 you can see from the manual match what are on my tractor. Hopefully this helps with with your 1502.
