The closest US models I found would be a John-Deere 850 & 950 some of the parts will work. If you are looking for some parts I have a YM2202 tractor that I am parting out & I have some YM2020 moter parts to if intrested.

240?

I had a 1700.. and it was similar in size/frame to the 2000

The manuals I got were for a ym195/240 ( smae manual.. )

A dealer will know..

The YM240 described in my sig pictures is the US version of YM2000. Take a look at the YM240 dealer brochure there.

If yours looks to be a later version of the same tractor then you might want the YM240 manual set available on CD. I got mine from ebay.

The YM2002D is newer than the YM2000/240. It is three cylinder, wet brakes, spin-on hydraulic filter, full dash, etc. The USA YM220 was smaller and has dry brakes, the YM276D was larger and is a power-shift. I can't off the top of my head come up with a USA "sister" tractor to your YM2002D. It shares a good deal of parts with the Japanese YM1802D if that helps any.

Dave, does the xx6 designate powershift? If so I guess the YM226D would not be a close match /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Thanks for all the replies. Still searching /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Thanks Rick

Yes it does.

The YM2002D is neat because it is the most powerful of the smaller frame sizes in the 3-cylinder YM's. It is a workhorse.

The JD750 has the same engine (3T80u) as the YM2002D. The JD850 has the 3T80.

Thanks,

I have a YM2002D. It is a powerhouse for it's size. The YMG2000 is a 3 cylinder that is basically a YM1802/YM220, but the YM2002 is a different machine. Most of the driveline will match the YM220 but not all. The sheet metal is a little different. I ordered a headlight bezel for a YM220 . It would fit the hole but the headlights were different. If I remember correctly the YM2020 was even a different size machine than the YM2002.

Thanks for all the replies. I had hoped for a match but it must not have one. I bought this tractor for myself to replace a TL1900 Iseki. So far I am well pleased with its performance. It has plenty of power but it is a little short in weight and ground clearance. I was hoping for factory service manuals. A YM2202D might have been a better choice. If I could figure out the proper ratio and change from 8.3x24 to 9.5x24 it might give me the ground clearance and I can add the weight. Any ideas would be helpfull. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Mine has 9.5x24 rear and 6x14 front. It works out perfectly.

I picked this tractor up at Fredricks and it has 8.3x24 and 6x14. I assumed that was the proper size. 9.5s would be much better. Maybe someone Knows what the proper size is.
Thanks Rick

I buy & sell Yanmars & I had two or three of these tractors, & they come both way with 8.3 & 9.5. Both sizes work just fine. If interested in a set of 9.5x24 I have a set of tires & Rims in very good condition Will seperate if you want.

9.5x24s are available at most farm tire stores. Double check that they are for sure 24". Most Yanmars have 8.3x22.

Marv,
You don';t have a set of 9.5-22's laying around do you? bw

I don't understand how 9.5s and 8.3s could both be correct because the 9.5s have a greater rolling circumference.thus changing the ratio. The larger tire would be a welcome change if it would work without damaging my gears. has any one experienced this?
Thanks Rick

Does the rim width necessarily affect the rolling circumference on a standard ag tire?

   / YM2002D closest US model? #19
They both are only correct if they have the correct size front tires. These tractors come with the rims off. Sometimes after painting the same rim doesn't always make it back on the right tractor. I run a tractor in 4 wheel drive down a long gravel drive. If it will shift in and out of 4x4, without binding, after that it is close enough.

I guess I will have to decide if I want to gamble and purchase a set of 9.5x24 tires and try them. I have other tractors with 9.5s on them but not a Yanmar. That would have been nice because I could have just switched them and tried them. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Thanks Rick
