Sounds like he's not sure which was up and which was down, but I'll bet the hoses just got switched from the way they were, no reason to mess with the valves on a hose replacement.

Norm, I think it would be confusing to leave Float at right-pull. I think the valve has to be physically moved to remedy this, since Float is an actual set of passages drilled at one end of one of the valves.
