So I put a new clutch in and it went well after I found out that the YM240d main shaft in the bell housing does not pull out like all others..Other then that it went well..
Now another problem 3pt will not work. I drained the old hydraulic oil, cleaned the suction screen and installed new 303 hydraulic oil I bought at Carquest auto parts, and still nothing. I also pulled suction line off at pump and installed a new oring and tried filling pump w/oil putting it back together and starting it, still nothing...next step is to pull off pump and get it tested, luckily I have a local hydraulic rebuilder I know. Also this pump is a 9cc not a 7cc like others. Previous owner had a loader on it.
I bought this as a project and that it is!!! Was sold to me as an Easy Fix!
Can it be anything else????

If it came with a loader, the loader had to get hydraulic power somewhere. Since it has the higher capacity pump, it likely pulled pressure from a divider block underneath the seat. Assuming no capped lines are coming out of it, I would try removing the pressure line (the smaller one) and then spinning the engine with the compression rlease activated. If the pump works, it should pour out immediately. If not, you've isolated the pump as the trouble, assuming you're certain the hydraulic screen is clear, there is no auxiliary suction filter, the fluid is filled to full, etc.

Crack the Hyd. line to the Control Valve to make sure your Pumping Hyd. Fluid. Make sure the Hyd.Serv.Stop Valve is open. In the Pic.between your legs under the seat. Counter clockwise is open. Some one may have closed it to prevent the lift from falling but it also prevents it from lifting. If it shut it's locked. Make sure the linkage to the Control Valve is working. 1st. pic. On the Plunger were the finger and spring is. To raise the lift the plunger is pushed in on the Control Valve. How far In or out it's moved is how high or low your arms move. That is the basic's to check first. If it's pumping fluid and the linkage is working Serv. valve open and no movement my Guess is a bad control valve. Also look on the side of the valve and your see the Lowering Adj, Its the set screw with the pin in it. Should be pointing up.

Thanks guys I did check all of those things yesterday. Probably the pump then. By the time I get this tractor figured out it will be dam near rebuilt. Showing 600 hours on the meter but she seems a little beat. Just trying to give this machine a new home

Im going to guess the shear key in the pump is bad. About $1

I pulled front of pump cover off and turned motor over and both shafts where turning so I'm going to say shear pin is still intact. I'm heading out shortly to remove the radiator and then the pump.

My guess is its NOT 600 hours. It could have flipped as there is only 3 digits on it. Could be 1600 or even 2600 or it may have just stripped and stopped working???

Most on here say the pumps rarely give trouble. I think the only torn up ones on here we have ever heard about its when someone deadheaded it and tore it up. Maybe with the loader and plumbing it wrong this was done to this one. Even Hoye says they rarely see worn pumps. Make sure if you determine the pump to be bad that your plumbed right.

Ok every day I'm learning not to assume . My hydraulic pump works fine the problem I had is with these blocks not having any flow thru ports I wasn't getting fluid to my 3 point valve. So for this to work I need to install a jumper hose in between the caps. Right? Why is this block not drilled through to run the 3 pt and a loader or something??
