Here it is again- Round 3.
They put the new valve on the tractor. Its the Whole piece, housing and everything. They said it cost around $300. But it didn't cost me anything (except fuel for traveling 3 Saturdays in a row).
Anyway, I brought my Bush Hog like I said I was gonna do. What do you know? The lift started leaking down Very slow (only when the tractor is killed. It don't leak down with the tractor running). It took a lot longer to go down with the new valve assembly than it did with the old one BUT IT STILL LEAKS DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both of them (owner and mechanic- Father and Son) said that this was not out of the ordinary and that some Yanmars do it.
Get a load of this:
The owner even tried telling me that its good that it leaks down slowly like that because its a "safety feature" for children and animals!!!!! (Had I known this from the get-go, I would NOT have paid $5700 for this feature!!!!!) The owner also said "You do know this is a used tractor, don't you". Why would he say that if its such a good safety feature? (yeah right)
The only thing that I accomplished by bringing the tractor back 2 weekends in a row for the same problem was this:
Now, whenever I accidently leave an implement up, what ever (or whoever) may get underneath it WILL HAVE SOME MORE TIME TO GET OUT THAN WHAT THEY DID LAST WEEK before the implement sits on top of them!!!!!!!!!
This is ridiculous. I'm very furious and feel like I've been had.
If I knew I was gonna have all this trouble, my Mahindra would have NEVER left. I feel stupid.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Dealers are welcomed to chime in also (PLEASE!)
