I was wondering on a 2610 if you change sides with the rear tires, how wide does that make it. On my 1700, I think it changes it from 44 to 48 inches. But it looks like on a 2610 it is a lot more than 4 inches differences. Is that right???

The 2610 has adjustable wheels which makes for 7 different widths. I've had mine 6 feet wide.

pruntyc I don't know if this helps, but mine is set as far out as they will go and its 66" outside of tire to outside, the distance from the inner part of the fender to the inner part of the tire is only 6 3/4 ". sorry but I don't have the width before it was moved out, regular width. maybe one of the dealers on here could tell you..Robert

That is what I wanted to know. But I've been offered a great deal on a 2001 JD, so may take it instead.

pruntyc:

If the great deal on a J.D. is the 790 you were talkin' about on another thread, you can't go wrong with this little tractor. Nice machine for the money and it's a yanmar to boot!

Good luck with your new toy if the deal goes through.

No its a 4100, and I'm not sure I want it, I think its a little small, and not sure I would like a hydro. So still thinking, but I have to go see him in about an hour. So guess I'd better make up my mind.

pruntyc, how much HP is the 4100, I'm thinking someone told me about 20HP, so the YM1700 and the 4100 are about the same HP, but the 4100 is 4wd. Is that right or wrong?, just wondering. Thanks Robert

You are right, just about the same hp. But I looked at it and decided its just too many hours in too short a time. Must have been a business that had it. Some rust on it and looked kind of not taken care of. It was a Hydro, not gear.

Thanks pruntyc, was wondering if that was right. Sounds like your in the market for a different tractor, I'm being noses, but what else you been looking at, just wondering because you ask about the width of the 2610. Robert

I'm also looking at the JD790 4wd new, if I can get the right deal. But they don't like Yanmar trade, so probably won't get one. Other than that I may get a 2210, and get a loader with it. All I need it for, a 2wd would work fine for me. And get into more a price I really can better afford. When you are 72, and wife has bad health, only have 7 acres, its really all I need to.
