Death Valley Days, Wagon Train and Gunsmoke were my favorites. It has been many years since I watched them and now their reruns are coming on a local over the air channel along with many other old westerns. Oh, and of course the series about my great, great, great, great grandfather, Davy Crockett.
Death Valley Days was one of the most interesting programs because it had different actors in each program so you never knew when one was going to get killed. Unlike series like Gunsmoke when you knew in advance that Marshall Dillion was going to win the gunfight.
Death Valley Days probably had more actors in the series than any other series on TV with many hundreds of both well known and little known actors. If you want to see a list of all the people who acted in that series go to Death Valley Days (TV Series 1952–197 ) - Full Cast & Crew - IMDb
The one good part about getting old is that my memory is failing and i can't remember any of these shows so when I watch them it is like watching them for the first time.
