You favorite old-time TV Western?

One I haven't seen mentioned is Rin Tin Tin. As a kid it was pretty cool. I saw a few reruns 5 or 6 years ago and couldn't believe how cheesy it was.

Yeah, well in the olden days, we would stay up and watch the National Anthem and then the test pattern for another hour. I have watched a few reruns of Gunsmoke recently, and they are for the most part, not bad...but Bonanza pretty much fits the "cheesy" definition...including their cardboard sets.

First TV show I ever saw was Hopalong Cassidy...it was on a TV in a bar; I stood outside and looked in the window. I'm guessing ca 1950...

Yep, and a nephew named "Clipper"...his plane, as I recall, was named the "Bluebird".
