Everything I have has a cab.

This is just one of the many reasons.

Are you a cab, or open station type?

So glad I got a cab. Helps a lot whether it's cold, warm, dusty, or raining.

Yet, I use the little tractor that only has a canopy a lot more often...when the weather permits.

I upgraded to a cab for snow plowing, but it's definitely a plus in the summer months also!
We had a blizzard come through in 2016 that was miserable on an open station tractor for 24 hours of seat time. I had a cab that following April.

Having this happen awhile ago..doesnt help.

Its amazing on how far a snowblower can hurl a rock

I only ran this machine about two hours since I cleaned it. Not eating dust in the cab is nice.

The only reason I have an open station is because a cab wouldn't fit in my garage.

Another soft cab owner here. Install in the winter, remove in the summer.

3 with cabs, little Kioti 2620, Branson 8050, and NH 8160, then the old IH 574 open station that primarily sits on the pto generator.

Isn't a soft cab as miserable as a Jeep's soft top?

At least with the Jeep there's a glass windshield and wipers.
Granted there is no glass windshield and wipers, never had a need for them. Main use was to keep warm in the winter when moving snow. Snow just blew off but cab kept me out of the wind and snow and I was perfectly warm even on 0 deg days.
This the cab I have for my tractor:

I've got the optional glass windshield for my Original Tractor Cab. I didn't get the wiper but I've never needed it. After 13 years, there are a few scratches on the side and rear plastic windows but not enough to affect visibility. No heater but it cuts the wind and cold enough that I'm comfortable in Carharts.

My M6040 is open station with a canopy. I enjoy the fresh air and ability to hear whats going on when using implements.

I seldom use the tractor if the weather is bad. Being retired usually means most anything can wait.

An example - I use to get up very early to plow snow on my mile long driveway. Not any more.

Also - I don't really mind the heat so much here. When it does get hot - the humidity is always below 15%.

If for some REALLY important reason I might have to go out in the cold and snow. My Eddie Bauer down jacket, pants and gloves are a whole lot less expensive than a cab.
