Re: Look out Pa.
I've been spending too much time on my tractor. This is the first I have seen this post, and a lot of others.
We just took a trip from Central NY to Alabama, and found the worst roads to be in North Carolina. We can tell by how loud the dishes clatter in the back of the motorhome. In PA, a lot of US 15 is new, as is 322 into Harrisburg. I-180 and 147 from Williamsport was mostly good (we stayed off I-80) and I-81 has been or is getting fixed where it was rough. US 11-15 along the Susquehanna is finally done and beautiful.
I-77 in NC was really bad, especially around Statesville and parts of Charlotte. We came back I-85 through Greensboro and some of that was pretty bad. So my vote goes to NC.
Now as far as twisty, curvy, no passing for miles and miles, PA takes the cake hands down!
I like my scrapple crispy on the outside, mushy inside, and my eggs-over-easy right on top of the scrapple all mixed up. Eddie's Restaurant on US 15 just outside Mansfield, PA serves it, and we always stop there for breakfast on the way south. We can and do buy Jones Philadelphia Scrapple in Cortland.
