Actually that sick feeling left a couple January's ago.
<font color=blue>Hearing him use words like "sacrifice" and not recall his avoiding the military service of his country would be a good sign of conservative thought.
Or listening to him talk about preemptive strikes and wonder what the investigation into his reign at Halliburton is digging up that inspires him to start a war to deflect attention from it could be another symptom of conservativism.</font color=blue>
That is, of course, assuming eveyone is like Clinton. And they're not. His behavior was not normal, try as many did to portray it as such.

That it made complete sense to rant about Irag's lack of democracy while all it's neighbors are dictatorships and that's okay because they're friendly to us. You might be a conservative if his wanting to bomb Irag made sense and you could ignore that fifteen of the hijackers and their leadership came from Saudi Arabia. You might be conservative if you could ignore all the references of evidence to why we should attack Irag were at least seven years old and the most heinous of the crimes committed were when they were our ally and we didn't say squat then.</font color=blue>
Anyone else violating the UN agreement to inspections? Anyone else directly paying the parents of murder-bombers to send their children to their deaths and cause others to die? And how does one state so solidly that nothing is being done? Do we have an embassy in Iraq? Do we have diplomatic conversation? We do with others. And, didja ever hear of a benevolent dictatorship? Again, is any other nation on earth violating their terms of surrender? Or is it O.K. to continue to ignore the threat just because it was ignored from 1992 - 2000, despite continued terrorism! About their heinous crimes - the Iran war? The enemy of my enemy is my friend, Harv, just like the Saudis, right now. Even though they are on tenuous ground. What is said in public is not necessarily what is said in private. It's about saving face, my friend. I learned it from old movies like Westerns, and I'm sure glad we got a New Sheriff in town.

Well, my friend, I certainly understand your sentiments there. I wonder, however, if the families in Israel would feel safer if no one cared about Israeli military service. It appears that the alternative, surrender, is worse than the stated objection. And...military service is still optional, and probably will continue to be as long as we can interdict problems before they grow. Would you prefer we wait until they have nuclear weapons, or at least delivery systems for other types of weapons?
