A quick hitch!! I cannot believe the difference it has made. Why oh why did I put off that purchase sooooooo long? It is as essential as the motor! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Bungees.
I added some bungee cording across the fender - slide my gloves under it when I take them off- and I don't lose them anymore.

And I added 2 bungee loops to the top of one loader arm so I can slip a shovel in them and always have it with me. The holes were there, I just slipped a loop through. This is worth a picture - will have to take one to share.

Finally - I added rear facing lights (for backhoe) and a tool box to my ROPs.

Skid plate. Bottom protected from grill guard to draw bar. No more broken speedo sensors, torn up wiring, etc. Great design copied from TBN.

I added a flashing beacon to the ROPS that I use when driving down the road. I hard wired it to a switch on the dash. Great for creeping up the road at night. It is magnetic and I use bullet connectors so it is easy to disconnect.

The coolest addition to my tractor will be the 2 5x7 KC lights I am adding this weekend hopefully. Also the quick hitch was a good investment but rarely used. I like the right hand handle I added, complete with 70 series underhood padding, and a big decal on the roll bar that says John Deere.

Lets see.. additions that iv'e added, and I'll never remove from my tractor:

Canopy
fender mounted radio
brackets for fire extinguisherand drink thermos
( added to rops upright using band clamps and quick 'D' connectors. )
A front bumper grill gualrd to attatch to the existing bumper on my NH 1920... Has perf'd metal on it and has proven to keep about 80% of the crap outta my radiator screen.
Rear work light.

For my antique tractors i added easilly removable SMV signs with attatched hazard flashers.. wire loom has QD's on it..

I've attatched a copy of the bumper on my Nh 1920.. Just buzzed together, and bolted on.. painted NH blue.. parts were free from scrap pile.. Nh blue was 6 bucks.. Still allows the hood to tilt back.

Definitely the backhoe - I use it for more than I ever thought I would. When I got it, I justified the cost by figuring what I'd save in putting in all the septic systems, plumbing, and wiring that my place needs. I've yet to do any of that stuff, and the backhoe gets used almost daily. I'd never get a tractor without one now.

It came with the FEL then I added a box blade, then a couple of weeks ago a toothbar. Happy with all of them. BUT, what made me the happiest is what I added last weekend...free. I put water in the rear tires. It makes everything else work at least 50% better. I put it off thinking the box was enough ballast and the wet tires would be too much trouble. Took about thirty minutes and I'm tickled to death. I can't believe the difference it made.
