The original 8-6-4 technology engine (HT 4100) that didn't work well at all however the derivative engine became rather well-liked. I had one in an '86 Deville and I just talked to a guy a week ago that is driving a '95 Deville with one that has over 200k. His comment was kind of funny though - he said "No this is a 95 which still has the good engine in it - not that Northstar."

Yeah the 302 In our families 1972 Bronco never missed a beat and my friends made 200k miles without a tear down... Seems we have all had an engine or two that was a favorite, and yet for others was a nemesis

And I am past my mid life crisis... to recreate that. That was one car I should have held on to. Oops... this is a truck thread. :ashamed:

Worst 1974 Chevy C65. I use to say it was the best 5 cylinder truck that I ever owned. & the clutch wore out & slipped any time you gave it some throttle.

Its a 5/6 yard dump % still waiting fore an engine & clutch.

Maybe not its fault, but every time I went yo use it I had to blow out the fuel line.
