The late 60's Chevy 302 was also a great one IMO. Not sure when Ford started with the whole metric nomenclature and it that coincided with any quality change.

Was that the HT4100. Most mechanics including myself said the HT stood for Hard Times!! CJ
You are making me miss my old 302 with a 4bbl carb on my 68 Mustang GT fastback.
And I am past my mid life crisis... to recreate that. That was one car I should have held on to. Oops... this is a truck thread. :ashamed:Yeah the 302 In our families 1972 Bronco never missed a beat and my friends made 200k miles without a tear down... Seems we have all had an engine or two that was a favorite, and yet for others was a nemesis
