It's easy to make incorrect assumptions but if there was ever a thread that deserved "closure" this one would be a contender...

That said...one possibility is that the survey revealed the OP was incorrect where the actual property line was and the neighbor was actually using his own property...??

Looks like he hasn't been on here since May 18th. It's disappointing because I was hoping to learn what the outcome was, and how he went about resolving it. Sadly, if I was him and received the same level of attacks and accusations that he did, I would have left this site too.

If it went anything like our property line dispute went, the lawyers are making good money while nothing gets resolved. I did not hire a lawyer to compromise, I own my land and will not give it away. It took months after survey to get anywhere.

Not only did he get rude attacks, but they were by people that clearly hadn't read everything he posted. Last I remember, he said the survey got delayed. It's likely done by now, but with the friendliness he received here, why bother returning?

The OP is a nice enough guy and my guess is he will return to wrap this up. He could be waiting for the survey, on vacation or whatever. Maybe had a medical issue. He was last on June 2nd so that's not all that long.

Since his neighbor seemed to agree with where the OP says the property lines are but simply used the land anyway, my guess is that the survey will only be used by an attorney during a legal process. If that's the case it could be many months, and the last thing I would do during a property dispute is to post about it on a public forum.
