In reality, I use lead poisoning to control varmints. It's actually illegal to trap & release in my county.

In WA they are in protected status. So far you won't get arrested for mashing one going down the road but it probably gives them another reason to pull you over.

since it was 111 degrees when i took my motorhome through Desert Center CA last Fall, I can't imagine you being out of power and a/c
in that heat. Truly life threatening heat for old folks. Glad you upgraded.

People have lived in those areas for hundreds of years. Residential AC has only been available for a little over 50. There are many thousands in those areas that do not have AC to this day.

I installed a 8kW Generac 10 or so years ago and it served us well for all that time. But 8kW has it’s limits as it would not power the AC, oven, shop or other large draws.

We are getting older and decided to up grade to a 22kW which will power everything.

Well, in the 8 months since I installed it we have a total of 3 hours of actual run time including start up, testing, exercise and a couple of short outages.

Nothing guaranteed no more outages than spending $$$ on a new generator!

In 4 1/2 years, I don't have a whole lot of real run hours on my 16K. But most of the ones it has are during storms or at night. Nothing beats staying inside and dry over running out into whatever weather, fueling, starting, running cords to important things.
