"Neighbor" to the north is a Christian Church. So far no problems with them, and I don't anticipate any.
South of our property line is "city limits" of the bustling metropolis of Mt Washington Ky, (pop. 8135 last count) There's a street with about a dozen homes, probably built in the 1950's, and populated with older couples. (70's and 80's) I've met 3 of the couples. Nice folks that appreciate my concern for keeping my land "undeveloped". We're all on the same page there.
To the east, through the woods and over the hills and 'cross the creek is a lonely stretch of highway. No neighbors in sight.
West? Well, there's gotta be a fly in the ointment somewhere. Got a couple "Can I borrow----(insert ENTIRE TOOL COLLECTION here)" types who seem to be on everyones nerves, including mine. Their kids are a public nuisance. Their dogs are always barking. Wife's are local gossip queens. Good thing 1500 yards of dense woods seperate us. (I can't get off a clean shot....
) There is one guy on this road who owns a couple tractors, always has some sort of "project" going on, and seems to mind his own business. We talk regularly. Good guy!
I hope they all view me as a good neighbor in the sense that I keep my place clean and neat, don't bother anyone, and have a strong sense of "civic pride". Beyond that, I'm not too concerned over their opinions of what I do and how I spend my free time.
Fortunately, I'm the type that considers "neighbors" anyone with-in an hours drive that I enjoy being with. We're about 10 minutes drive from our best friends.
